William Wang (b.2004) is a Chicago-based, occasional Multidisciplinary artist who mainly works in the medium of paintings. The artist was born in China and was raised in a city called Zhengzhou, which (allegedly) at the time was still in the mix of pure concrete utilitarian infrastructure and fragments of architecture from the decade before. His family then moved to Irvine, California, by 2017 (also allegedly) through a school-oriented summer camp that was part of his parents' supposedly years-long-untold plan to immigrate to the United States for a purpose that is still unclear to the artist or the parents themselves (of course, allegedly). By 2021, the artist had moved to Chicago and is currently studying (Painting and Drawing department) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for a BFA degree.
